Plasterworks

These paintings are taken directly form my sketchbooks that I use on site during  visits to verious cities both in the UK and abroad. The sketches are the starting points for drawing into the wet plaster to recreate that immediacy of markmarking. The plaster for me produces a surface that is physical and as a trained printmaker brings together the idea of cutting into a surface to bring to life an image.
